Women's ODI abandoned in downpour

Only three overs were possible as the opening women's one-day international between West Indies and England in Trinidad was abandoned because of rain.

A lengthy spell of wet weather finally cleared to allow a 23-over per side match and West Indies opted to field.

England gave an ODI debut to Lancashire seamer Kate Cross, 22, and had reached 5-0 when rain ended proceedings.

The series finishes with two day/night matches, also at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad, on Friday and Sunday.
